Milbank American Legion Post 9 to Host Arnold Larsen Baseball Tournament

Milbank American Legion Post #9 will host the 2017 Arnold Larsen Invitational Baseball Tournament Friday through Sunday, June 2-4 at Legion Field.
Games will begin at 4 p.m. on Friday. The opening game will pit Groton against Volga. The second game of the day will feature Redfield and Aurora. In the nightcap, Milbank Post 9 will take on Tea at 8 p.m. The final first round game will be played Saturday morning at 10 a.m. with Webster taking on Aberdeen Junior Legion. Each of the four winners will advance to the championship round while the losers will play in the consolation bracket.
The two semi-final games are scheduled for 4 and 6 p.m. on Saturday with the championship game slated for Sunday at 3 p.m.
Consolation games will take place Saturday at 12 and 2 p.m. with the 5th place game scheduled for Sunday at 11 a.m. The third place game will be Sunday at 1 p.m.
Milbank Post 9 captured the Class B state title last season and are setting their sights on a repeat performance. The 2016 state title was the first for Post 9 in over a decade.
