Celebrate this Independence Day at Lake Farley Park in Milbank. Activities start at 6:30 p.m.
The annual fireworks show, sponsored by the Milbank Area Chamber of Commerce, begins at 9:45 p.m. “The show will be staged by the Milbank Fire Department, led by Jeremy Johnson,” stated Chamber Events Director Laura Kelly. The concession stand opens at 7 p.m.
The second annual free kids fishing tournament runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The tournament is for toddlers to age 12. Fishing poles and bait will be provided, and no fishing licenses are required. First, second, and third place prizes will be given for the largest fish and the most fish caught. Inflatables for children will be set up in the park from 7 to 9 p.m. Kids activities also begin at 7 p.m. and include a coin dig, ring toss, and beach races.
