Trey and Carter Gloe of the Milbank Area Lions Swim Team (MALST) attended the State B Championship swim meet in Yankton. “Trey and Carter posted their fastest times of the season,” stated MALST Head Coach Jodi Street. “This was only their second time in a long-course pool this season.”
Carter added the 200 IM, 50 breast, and 100 breast to his state qualifying events. Trey placed well and had major time cuts in six events. He cut 9.64 seconds from his 200 freestyle and almost 8 seconds in the 100 back from just a month ago.
Trey was named the Swimmer of the Meet. “Trey worked hard in practice to focus on the little things to cut time,” said Coach Jodi. “His endurance has increased which eases him into his turns.” The Sealions travel to Aberdeen July 28-30, for the State A Championship meet.
