McKernan Leads the Pack in Team Penning

Mike McKernan sits on top of the leader board after Whetstone Valley Rodeo Association’s team penning event on September 8. McKernan has accumulated 388 points with one regular event remaining in the season. The final team penning event and the Buckle Run takes place Saturday, September 23, at 7 p.m.

In the penning event on September 8, Dave Hardie, Monte Rosen, and Milt Stengel won first place. Tom Graham, Monte Rosen, and Don Peterson took home the second place money. In the Add ‘Em Up competition, Clint Homan, Fred Lundberg, and Jenni Bussard captured first place. Calvin Thompson, Steve Hamann, and Louie Minder finished second.
