Bulldog Runners Place at New London-Spicer

Four Milbank High School girls and one boy placed in the top 20 of the New London-Spicer Invitational cross country meet in Spicer, Minnesota on September 14. Thirteen teams competed in the meet – 86 runners in the boys varsity race, and 72 in the girls.

Nick Batchelor led the way for the Bulldog boys with an eighth place finish. Milbank also placed eighth in the team standings with 195 points.

For the girls, Danica Schulte sparked the team with a 10th place finish. Maurina Street took 13th place, and her sister, Amaya Street, finished in 16th place. Taylor Thue rounded out the top place winners in 19th place. The girls team was third with 104 points.

Both teams will compete Tuesday, September 19, at the Lac Qui Parle Valley, MInnesota Invitational. They then travel to the Twin Cities on Saturday, September 23, for the Roy Griak Invitational.
