Lady Bulldogs Face Tough Sioux Valley Volleyball Team

The Milbank Lady Bulldogs battled against the Sioux Valley Cossack team and dropped 3-0 on Tuesday, September 20, at the Milbank Armory. The locals fell to 4-6 on the season with the loss.

The locals battled hard, but struggled to catch the Cossacks off balance. A solid effort by Sioux Valley gave them the win with scores of 25-15, 25-20 and 25-18. Sioux Valley improved to 12-3 following the victory.

Molly Rick led the Lady Bulldogs with 13 kills on 26-33 hitting, one ace on 9-9 serving, 20 digs and one block. Jaecy Engebretson followed with six kills on 20-22 hitting, 12 assists on 31-32 setting and 14 digs. Gabbi Cummins dropped in one ace on 10-10 serving, went 20-20 setting with four assists and had eight digs on the night. Jaden Hoeke led the team in serving with two aces on 5-6 serves.
