Robert Voldseth Sr.

Robert Voldseth Sr., age 84 of Milbank died October 6, 2017, at Milbank Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Private family services will be held.

Robert A. Voldseth was born July 9, 1933, in Sioux Falls, SD. He was the son of Arne and Gunvor (Fallan) Voldseth. He attended grade school in Sioux Falls, Tent, SD and in Brandon, SD.

Robert served in the United States Navy from 1953 until 1957. He returned to South Dakota and was united in marriage with Thelma A. McCaffrey in Maryland.

Bob worked for various businesses including Dakota Iron and Stone, Metz Baking Company, Sioux Falls Paper Company, Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, Gilmer Monument Works, and was sales manager for Rausch Bros. Monument Company in Big Stone City.
Bob was a member of the American Legion, Grant County Historical Society, Chippewa County Historical Society, and the Twin Brooks Threshing Show.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Robert Voldseth Jr. of Big Stone City, SD; Laura (Mark) Dickhausen of Missoula, MT; Darlene (Randy) Fast of Missoula, MT; LaVonne Voldseth of Anchorage, AK; Tamara (Paul) Behrens of Lafayette, TN; Janine (Dale) Cary of Montevideo, MN; Richard (Deirdre) Voldseth of Moorhead, MN; Charles (Kathy) Voldseth of Winter Springs, FL; 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
