The Interlakes Community Action Partnership (ICAP) community garden season has come to an end this year. Community Service Worker Heather Rise says the garden plots will be tilled on Sunday, October 22. City Councilman Mike Hanson and his family will till the garden. Rise said, “We ask the growers to have their plots cleaned up before Sunday.

“The gardens looked really good this year,” Rise stated. “There were about 15 plots. Some growers experienced losses with their produce because of the hail storm, and the donations of produce were down this year because of this.”

Those who wish to store items in the shed, can mark items with their name and organize them neatly inside. We look forward to another great season next year.” The community garden is located in northeast Milbank and is available to any Grant County resident.
