Leddy Wins 5th at National FFA

Kadon Leddy, a 2017 MHS graduate, represented the Milbank FFA Chapter at the 90th Annual National FFA Convention Agriscience Fair in Indianapolis from October 25 through October 28. Leddy competed in the Social Science category and took fifth place and a gold medal.

Leddy’s project, South Dakota Ag Producers: Do You “Farm to School”? involved querying South Dakota ag producers to determine awareness and interest in sourcing locally produced products for schools through the USDA’s Farm to School Program. He qualified at the South Dakota FFA state level Agriscience Fair in April. His project was then reviewed at the national level and was one of 15 selected as a national finalist. Leddy was accompanied by his adviser, Mr. Jerry Janisch, and his parents, Donnie and Krecia Leddy.
