The Friends of the Grant County Public Library will welcome author Melissa G. Nelson on Monday, November 13, at 6:30 pm for an author talk.
Melissa Nelson grew up on a dairy farm with nine older siblings and learned from a young age to find inspiration from living on the land and being close to nature and animals. She has authored three nonfiction books, written numerous articles on pet and livestock health and also written and published two novels.
Melissa has 18 years experience as a veterinarian as well as more than 30 years in food animal production. Nelson states, “Given my background, I weave animals and environmental themes into my writings into what I think are entertaining reads. I’m lucky to have been planted in a time and place where I have the instant inspirations that help prevent writer’s block.”
Mark your calendar to attend the free author talk by Melissa G. Nelson at the Grant County Library on Monday, November 13, at 6:30 p.m. Books will be available from Nelson for personal inscriptions.
