St. Lawrence Student Council Provides Thanksgiving Meals

The Student Council from St. Lawrence School with help from the Grant County Food Pantry is providing a Thanksgiving meal to two families. “The families are ones we identified that could use a little help, but may not have asked for it,” said Heather Rise of the Food Pantry.
The students earned the money for the food at the Student Council Store set up at the school. Money also will be raised during a special Nacho Day on Wednesday, November 22.
Half of the council members did the grocery shopping, and the other half delivered the groceries to the Food Pantry. “The students voted on what types of foods would make a good meal for these families, so that is what we purchased,” stated St. Lawrence Student Council Advisor Susie Wendland.
