Bulldog Grapplers Return Three State Qualifiers

The MHS wrestling team has three state qualifiers from last year on their roster this season, according to Coach Jeremy Torstenson.Tostenson is in his 12th year as the head coach for the Bulldogs. Sophomore Eli Fischer placed fifth in the state tournament at 106 pounds. Sophomore JD Lusk and junior Alec Bien both qualified last season.
Seniors Isaac Fischer and Tanner Kettwig lead this year’s team. Wrestlers vying for spots are: sophomores Angel Chen, Brady Femling, Elijah Fraasch, Brodie Holtquist, and Breyden Miller; freshmen Lars Anderson, Riley Przybycien, Nick Ruhr, Toby Schneck, Trystan Fischer, and Logan Meyer; and eighth-grader Kaden Krause.
Tostenson is assisted by Jesse Krause, Josh Schmeichel, Ryan Conrad, and Jeffrey Trapp. Krause is also in his 12th season as a coach for the Bulldogs.
