The students of St. Lawrence Catholic School presented their annual Christmas Program titled Checkin’ It Twice on Wednesday, December 13. Students sang, played chimes, hand bells, and recorders.

Narrating the Checkin’ It Twice portion of the program was Nicholas Fonder. He was assisted by Landon Novy, Lilly Dreis, and Stella and Olivia Wendland. The preschool and kindergarten classes touched the crowd with three songs – Joy To The World, God Loved Us and Sent His Son, and Happy Birthday, Jesus.

Other students playing lead roles in the program were Ivy Lewno, scripture reader #1; Abigail Pillatzki as Mary; Jayden Johnson as Joseph; Cassidy Schell as the Innkeeper; Aubrey Fraasch as the lead Angel; Victoria Nelson, Jacynda Street, and Mia Van Lith as the Angel Band; Lilly Dreis as scripture reader #2; Landon Novy, Nicholas Fonder, James Batchelor, and Stella Wendland as the Shepherds; Isabella Pauli, Max Scoular, and Raina Untalan as the sheep; Ivy Lewno as Gabriel and Maggie Kruger, Olivia Wendland, and Mia Van Lith as the Wise Women.

Soloists were Abigail Pillatzki, Jayden Johnson, and Ivy Lewno. Aubrey Fraasch played the xylophone; Jacynda Street, the tambourine; Landon Novy and Nicholas Fonder, the hand drums. Jacynda Street served as a reader.

The program closed with the first through sixth grade classes singing Christmas Checklist Reprise. They were then joined by the kindergarten students and the entire student body sang Go Tell It on the Mountain.

The program was directed by music teacher Elizabeth Schulte. Bobbie Meyer accompanied on the piano. Darby Helms ran the sound.
