The Milbank Area Bulldogs dropped to 1-2 on the season with a 63-27 loss to the Aberdeen Roncalli Cavaliers Friday, December 15, on the road.

Both teams struggled at times throughout the contest. Roncalli held a 18-13 lead after one quarter of play, but the Bulldogs came back and held the Cavaliers to just two points in the second quarter. Milbank evened things up at 20-20 at the midway mark.
The Dawgs then struggled themselves and produced just two points in the third quarter while Roncalli poured in 27 points to take the commanding 47-22 advantage heading into the finals stanza.

Milbank worked hard but could only come up with five more points in the fourth quarter to suffer the 63-27 loss.
The Bulldogs shot just 28 percent from the field for the game. Milbank went 11-for-39 and were just 2-for-20 from three point land in the contest.

Roncalli fired in a hot 52 percent, making 26 of 50 attempts from the field. The Cavs went 2-for-12 in three pointers.
Jake Fox led Milbank with 10 points, one rebound and one assist. James Weber and Preston Morton added six points each for the Dawgs. Weber was credited with two steals, and Morton had one rebound and one assist on the night. Max McCulloch tallied three points, seven rebounds and two steals while Jordan Riley added two points and one rebound.

Additional contributors for Milbank was Jonny Ash, one rebound and one steal; Derrick Aho, one steal; Will Cummins, two rebounds, and Tate Stricherz, three rebounds and one assist.

Milbank finished the game with 25 rebounds, 16 steals, two assists and 33 turnovers. Roncalli won the game with 29 rebounds, 30 steals, five assists and 18 turnovers.

Milbank will travel to Webster Thursday, December 21, and then will host Breckenridge, MN, in the State Farm-S&D One Stop Basketball Shootout on Saturday, December 30.
