Michelle Johnson was named the winner of the annual Cookie Contest put on by Seehafer Ace Hardware. She entered the contest with her frosted sugar cookies. She was rewarded with a Kitchen Aid stand mixer.

The contest took place Saturday, December 16, with a blind taste judging by Pat Blauert, Lane Lindquist and Jeff Carino. “A big thank you goes out to all who participated in the contest as well as to our judges,” stated Kristi Seehafer. “We believe it was a great success.”

Second place honors went to Ryanne Waldner (not pictured) with her chocolate French macaroon cookies, and third place went to Alysha Holmquist with her chocolate chip cookie entry. Waldner received a Kitchen Aid hand mixer, and Holmquist was given a bakeware set.

There were 25 total entries in this year’s contest. The leftover cookies were donated to the local care centers for the residents to enjoy. “We are so pleased to be able to bring the cookies to our residents at our local care center,” added Seehafer. “Thank you again for participating.”
