The Grant County Public Library was voted the winner of the 26th Annual Festival of Christmas Trees in the Grant County Courthouse. Kountry Kids 4-H Club took second place, and the Milbank Kiwanis Club notched third place. This year, the judging was done by public vote.
“There were 19 beautifully displayed trees from various community organizations at the courthouse,” said Sara Koepke Grant County 4-H Youth Program Advisor and Festival of Trees coordinator. “It was great to have trees located on all three floors.”
Groups participating in this year’s festival were: Betty’s Fireworks, Big Stone American Legion Auxiliary, Catholic Daughters, Emanuel Lutheran Church, Grant County Community Health, It Only Takes A Spark, Junior Busy Bees 4-H Club, Milbank American Legion Auxiliary, Milbank Area Retired Teachers Association, Milbank Girl Scouts, Milbank Pink Ladies Dart League, Northern Lights 4-H Club, Stockholm & Strandburg American Legion Auxiliary, Toastmasters Club, VFW Auxiliary, and Young Explorers 4-H Club.
