The Catholic Schools Raffle returns this winter to St. Lawrence School in Milbank, giving you the opportunity to turn $5 into a brand new car or $20,000 in cash while supporting your local Catholic school.

Starting Friday, January 12, students from St. Lawrence will join students from 83 other schools across Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota in selling the $5 tickets. Each ticket purchased gives ticket buyers the opportunity to win a 2018 Chevy TRAX (or $20,000 in cash), or other great prizes totaling $40,000 in value. Best of all, every penny of every ticket sold stays at St. Lawrence School thanks to the raffle’s sole sponsor – Catholic United Financial.

Additional prizes include a $5,000 dream vacation, family getaway packages to Duluth, MN, smart TVs, Minnesota Twins ticket packages, Apple iPads, Cabela’s gift cards, Amazon gift cards and so much more.

Now in its 9th year, the Catholic Schools Raffle has raised over $6 million for Catholic schools in the three state area. This year, Catholic United is challenging the 84 participating schools to collectively raise $1 million during the six-week selling period. To help reach this goal, St. Lawrence hopes to sell enough tickets to raise $15,000. “The money raised allows us to provide tuition assistance, update technology systems, and to cover the cost of special learning opportunities for special events and field trips,” stated St. Lawrence School principal Brenda Anderson.

Ticket sales begin Friday, January 12, and run through Sunday, February 25. Tickets are available at the school office.

The grand prize drawing ceremony will take place on Wednesday, March 7, at 11 a.m. at the Catholic United Financial Home Office in St. Paul, MN. Watch the Valley Express for winners from St. Lawrence School.
