Nominate A Teacher for Milbank Teacher of the Year

Know a teacher who gives 110 percent? Do tell! Nominations for the 2017-2018 Milbank School District Teacher of the Year Award are now being accepted. The Milbank Teacher of the Year becomes eligible for the ESA and South Dakota Teacher of the Year award.

“Giving recognition to our wonderful teachers is so important,” says Superintendent Tim Graf. “Please give consideration to completing this nomination for that special one that has played a big part in your son or daughter’s schooling.” Evaluate these things: the teacher’s methods for meeting student needs; rapport with students, parents, and other staff; desire for professional growth, community involvement; dedication to the profession; respect for students, parents, and staff; and preparation and ability to challenge students to succeed.

Nomination forms were sent home with the second quarter report cards. They are also available from the Central Office at the high school. Return completed forms to: Tim Graf, Superintendent, 1001 East Park Avenue, Milbank, SD 57252. The deadline for nominations is Friday, February 2.
