Lady Bulldogs Head to State Gymnastics Meet

The Lady Bulldogs head to the State Class A gymnastics meet this week. According to Milbank’s head coach, Amber Fraasch, “We are working on fine tuning our routines this week and hope to hit all four events at State.”
All nine varsity gymnasts for Milbank earned a spot in the individual competition. “I am excited that every individual that competed at Regions made it to State in at least one event,” said Fraasch. “This shows the great strength and depth of our team.”
The state meet starts Friday , February 9, and continues Saturday, February 10, in Watertown. The team competition is slated for Friday. Both Class AA and Class A compete using the Capital Cup format starting at 11 a.m. Awards are scheduled at approximately 4 p.m. Individual competition takes place Saturday beginning at 10:30 a.m. Awards are scheduled for about 3 p.m.
Representing the Lady Bulldogs in the individual competition are: Mackenzie Weinkauf, all-around, vault, bars, beam and floor; Dani Yamaura, all-around, vault, bars, beam, and floor; Maddie Gustafson, vault, bars, and floor; Greta Snaza, bars and floor; Jodi DeVaal, bars; Christina Lusk, beam; Tori Hooth, vault; Madison Mathews, bars; and Joci McFarland, beam.
