The 29th Annual Milbank Piano Festival takes place Sunday, February 25, at the Milbank High School theatre with sessions at 1:30 and 3:15 p.m. Lunch is served between sessions. The festival is free and open to all.

The festival, sponsored by the Milbank area piano teachers, showcases the talents of area piano students and features a guest artist to inspire students. Nyssa Duffield is this year’s featured artist.

Duffield is currently student teaching in the Milbank schools. She began taking piano lessons in kindergarten and is currently in her senior year at Northern State University in Aberdeen. She is pursuing a degree in Instrumental Music Education.

Duffield will be performing on the marimba. She plans to present the piece she played at her senior recital – Preludio No. 1 Mi menor (E minor) by Ney Rosauro.
