Patricia Rodengen, age 76 of Milbank died April 17, 2018, in Sioux Falls.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 24, at 2:00 pm at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Milbank. Visitation will be Monday at the church from 5 – 7 pm with a prayer vigil at 7 pm. Visitation will continue at the church on Tuesday, one hour prior to the Mass. Burial will be at Artichoke Cemetery.

Patricia Anna (Maguire) Rodengen was born on March 30, 1942, in Philadelphia, PA. She was the daughter of Edward Francis and Virginia Lee (Anderson) Maguire. As a child, Pat traveled with her family to New York, Arizona, California, Japan, Germany, and Washington, D.C. She grew up in Japan and Germany. Pat graduated from Atascadero (CA) High School with the Class of 1960. Pat was united in marriage with LeRoy Rodengen on July 26, 1962.

Pat was active with the cub scouts and girl scouts. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church where she was a lector. Pat was a talented seamstress. She enjoyed making stuffed animals for her grandchildren. She attended her children and grandchildren’s activities with pleasure. According to her grandson, Brandon, “Pat’s favorite food while growing up was peanut butter. Her favorite television shows were Lassie, Rin Tin Tin, Drag-Net, and The Lone Ranger. The biggest changes in her life were television, computers, airplanes, and different kinds of transportation.”

Patricia is survived by three children: John Rodengen of Faribault, MN; Debbie Berge of Waseca, MN; and Matthew (Augusta) Rodengen of Garretson, SD; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Cheryl Forsman of Bellingham, WA; brothers: Mick (Helen) Maguire of St. Johns, AZ; Chris (Delia) Maguire of Jolon, CA; extended family: Tammy (Calvin) Arnett; Luke (Jessica) LeBraun and children: Jordan and Tyler; Cheyenne LeBraun and Dion; and Randy Moser. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Virginia; husband, LeRoy; daughter, Diane Marie Dinnel; and brother, Robert Maguire
