Valley Queen Cheese Factory celebrated June Dairy Month by hosting their 28th Annual Cheeseburger Day at Lake Farley Park on Thursday June 14. “We served 2,700 cheeseburgers,” stated Valley Queen’s human resource manager, Karissa Karels. Free will donations were accepted for the lunch with 100 percent going to support the Junior Holstein Association and Milbank FFA.

Live music was provided by the Golden Tunes and the Hackwith Family. Kids were encouraged to have their faces painted or get a temporary tattoo. The Milbank FFA also sold SDSU ice cream. Karels said, “This fundraiser wouldn’t be possible without the help of the Valley Queen staff, the volunteers from the South Dakota Jr. Holstein and Milbank FFA kids, and the support of our incredible community.”
