Don’t get teed off if you’ve missed the first of the Bulldog boys golfers – there’s still more action to come! In fact, the guys are just getting started. This week, they played in Dell Rapids and travel to Hankinson, North Dakota, on Thursday.

Coach Mark Keeton says look for the two seniors to take the leadership roles. “Keaton Hagen has been with the program since seventh grade and I will look to him to help out the younger golfers.” Conner VanVooren has the most varsity experience and Keeton says, “I will lean on him to help guide the new guys. We have a lot of vacant spots to fill, and many of the boys will be experiencing varsity golf for the first time.”

But is Coach Keeton worried? No. He sounds optimistic, as he says, ” Hopefully, we continue to improve each and every week with the goal of playing our best when the region meet rolls around.”

If you’re new to watching the sport, you might be fooled into the How hard can it be? school of thought. But Keeton strongly disagrees. “Golf is not easy! It takes a lot of time and practice.”

So practice they will! Watch The Valley Express to keep up to date on the growth of this young team.
