The Milbank School District will conduct a Kindergarten screening and registration Friday, January 18, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Koch Elementary School. Kindergarten screening is for any child who is five years old before September 1, 2019. Children will participate in a kindergarten assessment.
The school nurse will complete a brief health assessment and review immunization records. Each child’s speech will be screened by a speech therapist.
Parents should bring the child’s birth certificate. The screening will take up to an hour and a half.
Children will be registered by last name according to the following schedule:
A-B – 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.
C-F – 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
G-H – 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
I-L – 11 a.m. to noon.
M-Q – noon to 1 p.m.
R-T – 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
U-Z – 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Parents may choose to come at an alternate time if the scheduled time is not convenient.
