Joan Peters

Joan M. Peters, age 63, of Aberdeen, died June 16, 2019, at Aberdeen Health and Rehab, in Aberdeen, SD.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 22, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Milbank, SD. Father Gary DeRouchey will celebrate the Mass. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Burial will be in the St. Lawrence Catholic Church Cemetery.

Joan Peters was born on October 4, 1955, in Minneapolis, MN, to Joseph and Viola (Bucy) Wronski. She lived in Milbank and Aberdeen. Joan enjoyed fishing, dancing, and the Green Bay Packers. She loved her grandkids, liked to tell stories, and give others a little grief (and get it in return). Joan appreciated her coffee time, making sugary snacks for others, and a good game of cards.

Joan is survived by her children: Krissy (Wyatt) Schaeffer of Aberdeen, SD; Penny (Lance) Waldum, of Superior, WI; John Peters, of Sioux Falls, SD; sisters: Nancy Meyer and Cindy Peters; grandchildren: Megan Wagner, Skylar Madsen, Lochlen Waldum; and great-grandchildren: Charli and Carter Ford.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Viola; sister, Rita; nephews, Wayne and Ryan; grandsons, Ethan and Trent; and niece, Laura.
