Richard Brown

Richard Brown, age 84, of Milbank, died on June 22, 2019, at Milbank Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Private family services will be held.

Richard Duane Brown was born on November 17, 1934, in Bagley, MN, the oldest son of Olaf and Irene (Flom) Brown. Dick graduated from Bagley High School and enlisted in the United States Army. He served his country in Germany, where he became interested in motorcycles.

Dick attended training to become a machinist and opened his own business in Ortonville, MN. Dick was united in marriage with Mary Merchant on May 13, 1967. They were blessed with 52 years of marriage.

Dick loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, competitive shooting, motorcycle hill climb racing, politics, and photography.

Dick is survived by his wife, Mary of Milbank, SD; and one brother, Rolland Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents: Olaf and Irene; two sisters: Sharon (Dean) Jacobson, and Beverly Brown.
