Patricia (Mrs. Dean) Parker, age 87, of Milbank died on July 11, 2019.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 20, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Milbank. Father Gary DeRouchey will celebrate the Mass, and burial will be in St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 19, at Mundwiler Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A prayer vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m.

Patricia Ann (Schmidt) Parker was born on March 17, 1932, in Milbank, SD. Pat lived in Corona, SD, until 1949, then one year in Clinton, MN. Pat was united in marriage with Dean Parker on November 9, 1949, in Milbank. They moved to Kent, WA, in 1960 and returned to Corona in 1961. Together they farmed until 1978. They moved into Milbank in 1978 and have since resided.

Pat was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She and Dean were blessed with six children: Peggy, Debbie, Vickie, Jeanne, Deanna, and Doug. She was a faithful member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and a member of the Catholic Daughters. She volunteered as a Pink Lady and for the hospital auxiliary. She was a member of an extension club, Geneseo Gals.

Pat’s family will cherish the memory of her wonderful cooking and baking. They remember their mom as a caring and nurturing wife and mother who always found the good in others.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Dean Parker of Milbank, SD; children: Peggy Leith of Sioux Falls, SD; Debbie (Rollo) Lentz of New Ulm, MN; Vickie Parker of Lino Lakes, MN; Jeanne Parker of Sioux Falls, SD; and Deanna (Kevin) Diamond of Harrisburg, SD; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; siblings: Francis Schmidt of Milbank, SD; Elaine Folk of St. Michael, MN; Lila Wojahn of Milbank, SD; and Dick Schmidt of Myrtle Beach, SC.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Doug; and one brother, Edward Schmidt.
