Edward Christeson, age 88, resident of Clinton, MN, died on July 30, 2019, at Essentia Health Grace Home in Graceville, MN.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. at Clinton City Cemetery in Clinton.

Edward Lester Christeson was born on December 14, 1930, to Ernest and Annie (Erickson) Christeson in Clinton, MN. He was the youngest of 13 children. Ed was raised and attended school in the Clinton area until he enlisted in the United States Army.

On August 1, 1960, Ed was united in marriage to Betty Hunt in Las Vegas, NV. They lived all around the country, including California, Texas, and Minnesota. Ed worked as a technician for Texas Instruments and when he retired, he still liked to work. He even helped with the census for a year.

Ed was a member of Elim Lutheran Church, the Masonic Lodge, and the Clinton American Legion. He loved shooting pool and was an avid bowler. Ed also loved spending time with his family playing games, hunting, and playing cards with “the guys” downtown.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Roger Arnord, Virginia Cathey, and Lori Seaman; grandchildren: Kellie, Hilary, Megan, Olivia, and Corrine; great-grandchildren: Jared, Jacob, Gabriell, Raina, Braydon, Carter, Oliver, and Penny; special friend, Arlene Bengen; sister, Doris Henry; and many nieces and nephews.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty in 2010; son, Jody Christeson in 2013; brothers: Leonard, LeRoy, Elmer, Kenneth, Alvin, Earc, Warner, and Lester Christeson; and sisters: Freda Williams, Laverne Ritter, and Agnes Morriu.
