Fifteen Milbank Middle School band students were selected to participate in the Eastern Dakota Junior High Music Festival. The students included: Seventh graders – Ruth Luis Gomez (flute), Alex De La Rosa (clarinet), and Ella Sandvig (percussion). Eighth graders – Brooke Mumbauer (flute), Isabella Vogel (flute), Victoria Nelson (clarinet), Rachel Schulte (clarinet), Sophia Whitlow (clarinet), Hope Karels (bass clarinet), Aubrey Fraasch (alto sax), Jayden Johnson (alto sax), Cailey Sime (alto sax), Lydia Street (trumpet), Joe Schulte (euphonium), and Jairek Frazee (tuba).

Dr. Larry Petersen from Augustana University served as the guest conductor. The culminating concert was held Tuesday, October 15 at the Deubrook School in White. Milbank students were accompanied to the event by Susan Karels, Milbank Middle-High School Band Director.
