Genrose Wieser, age 89, of Graceville, MN, formerly of Dumont, MN, died on December 26, 2019, at Grace Home surrounded by her family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 30, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Graceville. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 29, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Mundwiler and Larson Funeral Home in Graceville with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Monday. Burial will be at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in Dumont, MN.

Genrose Luann (Frisch) Wieser was born on October 18, 1930, in Wheaton, MN, to Michael and Pauline (Schmitz) Frisch. She attended school at St. Peter’s Catholic School through eighth grade then graduated from Wheaton High School.

Genrose was united in marriage with Jerome Wieser and to this union, six children were born: Mary, Sharon, Barb, Frank, Shelly, and Kris. Over the years, she was employed at the Dumont Locker Plant and the grocery store. She later worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Wheaton Nursing Home and Grace Home.

Genrose loved sports. Among her favorites were the Minnesota Vikings and Twins. She loved ice skating, watching Notre Dame, and traveling. Genrose loved babies and small children. She was loving, caring, family oriented, and had a great sense of humor. Faith was important to Genrose; she was a very religious and determined woman and accomplished anything she set her mind to.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Mary (Ron) Geiser of Hastings, MN; Sharon (Curt) Jorschumb of Moorhead, MN; Barb (Dennis) Richards of Cottage Grove, MN; Shelly (Bill) Kleindl of Graceville, MN; and Kris (Roger) Merriam of Watertown, SD; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Loretta Rausch of Rosholt, SD; and many nieces and nephews.

Genrose is preceded in death by her parents; son, Frank; brother, Gerald; and sister, Leno
