The 2020 Grant County Farm and Home Show opens at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 10 and continues until 7 p.m. On Saturday, the show reopens at 9 a.m. and closes at 2 p.m. Both days feature exhibits of home arts, crafts, crops, and over 70 vendor booths. Vendors range from farm implements and seed to chemicals, insurance, and, of course, food and beverages.

Parking will be plentiful as school will not be in session on Friday. Kids can romp on the inflatables beginning at 1 p.m. and enter the LEGO contest on Saturday morning (9:30) to win bragging rights and Ol’ Mill Bucks.

Friday’s speakers include:
10:30 a.m. – Greg Vavra – SDSU – Local Transportation Assistance Program (LTAP)
1:30 p.m. – Joel Foster – Grant County Farm Service – Farm Bill Updates

On Saturday, the annual Farmers Appreciation Breakfast will be served from 8:30 -10:30 a.m. at the Milbank Visitor Center Free tickets are available to all farmers and retired farmers in advance from the Milbank Area Chamber.

The Milbank Area Chamber, sponsor of the Farm and Home Show, also invites everyone to stop by their booth. High school seniors planning to pursue a major in an agricultural-related field are encouraged to pick up an application to win one of three $500 scholarships.
