Two Milbank swimmers earned high point medals at the Aberdeen Winter High Point meet January 4-5. Amaya Street placed sixth in the girls 15-16 age group with 120 points. Savanna Osowski was seventh in the same group with 113 points.

MALST head swim coach Jodi Street said, “The girls swam well taking on some events they don’t normally swim and
seeing great time drops in them.” A. Street cut over 10 seconds from her previous time in the 500 freestyle. She placed second. She also dropped 6.84 seconds in the 200 butterfly.

Osowski recorded four personal best swims. She swam the 1,650-yard freestyle for the first time in a short course pool, and conquered the sub 20-minute mile with a final time of 19:43. “It was a great swim,” said Coach Street. “She was very consistent throughout her splits and placed third in the event.”
