After Gordon’s death in 1992, Mavis enjoyed her employment with South Dakota Tourism. She was talented in music, sewing, knitting, crocheting, and painting. Reading a good book gave her great pleasure. She was a lifelong member of the Wilmot First Presbyterian Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.
