The Lady Bulldogs finished second in a triangular meet in Hendricks, Minnesota, on Monday, January 27. Milbank finished with a team score of 128.25. Hendricks-Estelline took first with 133.70, and Sisseton was third at 110.40.
“We added this meet due to the cancellation of the Madison Invitational,” explained Milbank’s head coach Amber Fraasch. “We wanted to give the girls another meet before Regions, but this also meant competing in back-to-back meets. Although this was good practice for the
state meet, we definitely felt the short turnaround time between competitions.”
Dani Yamaura added two new skills to her bar routines, and Rylie Overby competed in the varsity event and the all-around competition for the first time. Both performed no-fall beam routines and earned personal best scores. Fraasch said, “I thought we took a few steps forward on the execution of our bar routines, but the scores did not reflect this.”
