The Milbank Bulldogs wrestling team wrapped up their regular season with nine place winners at the Huron Invitational on Saturday, February 15. Milbank’s grapplers now vie for a spot at the Class A wrestling tournament during the Region 3A tournament this Saturday, February 22, in Aberdeen.

In Huron, Eli Fischer led the Dawgs with a second-place finish at 126 pounds. Toby Schneck captured third place at 182, and Barrett Schneck and Logan Meyer each finished in fourth place. Jacob Johnson, Leyton Raffety, and Dillon Schneck each battled their way to a fifth-place finish. Brayden Christensen and Brady Femling both took sixth.

Milbank landed sixth in the team standings with 122 points. Winner won the meet with 236 points. Aberdeen Central was second with 166.5. Bon Homme/Scotland finished third with 152, and Madison was fourth at 143.

Other team totals included Wolsey/Wessington, 120; Beresford/Alcester-Hudson, 98; Clark-Willow Lake, 66; Webster, 66; Yankton, 30; Hamlin, 23, and Chester, 9.
