Cheryl Hively, age 70, of Minneota, MN, died on March 2, 2020, at her daughter’s home in Milbank.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 6, at 2:00 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church in Milbank. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday. Rev. Thom Bowsher will officiate, and burial will take place at a later date.
Cheryl Louise (Rolfing) Hively was born on July 24, 1949, in St. Paul, MN, to Orville and Erna (Nellis) Rolfing. She attended school in the St. Paul area and graduated from Simley High School in Inver Grove Heights, MN.
On June 26, 1976, Cheryl was united in marriage with Lester Ray Hively in Echo, MN. The family made their home in Minneota, MN, area where Cheryl worked as a stay-at-home mom.
Cheryl was a member of Wood Lake Methodist Church. She loved to garden and work in her flower beds. Cheryl was a loving, strong-willed woman who could give great advice but never boasted with an “I told ya so.” She took great pride in her family and loved to spend time with them, even if it was just sitting and watching television together.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Lester of Minneota, MN; children: Richard (Amanda) Huston of Willmar, MN; Michael (Sou) Huston of Belview, MN; and Sarah (Mark) Mueller of Milbank, SD; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sisters: Kathy (Carol) Norton of Capitan, NM; Betty (Jeff) Stancer of Redwood Falls, MN; and Caroline (Brad) Schwitters of Nevada; and brother, John Rolfing of Capitan, NM; along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Preceding Cheryl in death were her grandparents; and father, Orville Rolfing.
