The Milbank Area Chamber is coordinating a gift certificate campaign designed to support local businesses that have either had to close or limit their access to the public due to the coronavirus pandemic. The purpose behind the campaign is to get money to local businesses now when they need it most.

So, ask yourself, “What’s the easiest way to get ready for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, or all the birthdays on your list?” Gift certificates!

Everyone loves a gift certificate, but these certificates come with a special bonus. They help Milbank’s small businesses get through the current crunch during the COVID-19 restrictions to remain in business. Buy them now and use them later. You could even get your Christmas shopping done now. When everyone else is rushing around during the holidays, you can just sit back and nibble gingerbread and drink cocoa.

Laurie Folk, director of the Milbank Area Chamber of Commerce, says, The Chamber is coordinating the sales, so this allows you to purchase gift certificates for several people at a variety of businesses from one location. The $20 certificates are available today until April 22. Buy as many as you like. The Chamber will process your order and mail the gift certificates to you after May 1.”
