The Milbank Firechiefs extended their season record to 4-0 with an 8-5 victory over the Castlewood Ravens on Sunday, June 28, in front of a home crowd.
Castlewood scored two runs to start the game, but Milbank quickly answered with three runs to take back the lead. Taylor Boerger belted out a single. Ronnie Krause followed it with another single, and Anthony Johnson was walked.
The Chiefs added a lone run in the third, two more in the fourth, and wrapped up the victory with two in the sixth. Milbank tallied nine hits. R. Krause went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Firechiefs in hits. Tristan Hall, and Brady Krause both also had multiple hits.
Taylor Boerger went the distance on the mound to collect the win for Milbank. He allowed eight hits and five runs and struck out nine.
