Barbara Faye (Reynen) Bohn was born on April 24, 1946, in Milbank, SD. She was the daughter of Arthur “Bud” and Gladys (Darling) Reynen. Barb grew up in Milbank and attended Milbank Public Schools. She was united in marriage with Larry Bohn on November 17, 1962, in Milbank.
Barb and Larry were blessed with three children: Dennis, Brenda, and Timothy. While raising her family, Barb also worked a variety of jobs in Milbank. She worked at Trevett’s Café, St. Bernard’s Hospital, Mundwiler Funeral Home, and ran a daycare. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Milbank. She participated on the Poet Cancer Walk Team. She was a wonderful cook and loved to bake, her caramel rolls were especially loved. She enjoyed walks and loved listening to music. Barb was a selfless lady; she always put others in front of herself. She would give anything she owned to someone else to help them. She had a kind and loving heart. She truly loved everyone, and everyone was welcome in her home (and never left without eating!). She adored her grandchildren and was extremely proud of each one. She loved a good rummage sale and could spot one from miles away!
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 57 years, Larry Bohn of Twin Brooks, SD; her children: Dennis Bohn of Twin Brooks, SD; Brenda Bohn of Milbank, SD; and Timothy (Lana) Bohn of Hayti, SD; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; siblings: Betty (Leo) Folk of Milbank, SD; and Donald (Evelyn) Reynen of Mitchell, SD; brothers-in-law: Donald (Wanda) Bohn of Milbank, SD; and Robert Bohn of Brookings, SD.
