Grant County Library Offers New Book Walk for Summer Reading Program

A new book walk in the park entitled, Nice Try, Tooth Fairy, just went up at the Grant County Library in Milbank. The story begins by the library’s front door and continues into the park surrounding the library. It’s all part of the 2020 Summer Reading Program.
This summer, the library created programs for small groups of children. They made a fairy garden, colored characters for their paper doll castle, enjoyed book walks, and Story Time videos. Crosby Bass’s name was drawn as the winner of the interactive fairy tale quiz bulletin board.
The young readers have also been reading and earning library dollars to spend at the library store. Librarian, Jody Carlson, reminds readers and their parents, “Reading must be completed by August 1.
