Girls Tennis Team Win Battle of the Bulldogs

The Milbank Lady Bulldogs swept the Madison Lady Bulldogs in girls tennis action at Cantine Courts in Milbank on Tuesday, August 25. Milbank cleaned up 9-0 against Madison in their first home match of the 2020 season.
“Despite how hot it was, the girls played phenomenally,” said head coach Abbey Trapp. “They pulled off the clean sweep against a team we lost to many years in a row. It was the perfect way to start our home matches.”

Singles 1. Halli Essington defeated Evelyn Graham 8-1; 2. Hattie Muellenbach defeated Emily VanLiere 8-3; 3. Jenna Johnson defeated Bella Maxwell 8-0; 4. Alexis Ninneman defeated Savannah Shipley 8-4; 5. Hope Karels defeated  Bailey Gonyo 8-0; 6. Marian Mischel defeated Callie Bounds 8-0. In exhibition matches, Aubrey Fraasch defeated Susie Voxx 8-1, and fell to Christian Reece 5-8.

Doubles 1. Essington/Muellenbach won 10-2; 2. Johnson/Ninneman won 10-3; 3. Karels/Mischel won 10-5.
