Mike McKernan, Steve Hamann, and Cassidy Hardie won the team penning event hosted by the Whetstone Valley Rodeo Association at the Milbank Arena on Saturday, August 29. The winners clocked in at 24:34. Teresa Mead, Randy Schuchard, and Louie Minder came in second with a time of 38.81. Monte Rosen, Harold Fischer, and Robert Runge took third place honors at 41.28.
Cassidy Hardie, Robert Runge, and Randy Schuchard won the sorting event. Second place went to Randy Schuchard, Tom Graham, and Dave Hardie.
The final team penning event of the season is Saturday, September 12. The Buckle Run will follow.
