The Milbank Bulldogs boys’ golf team finished the Redfield Invitational on Tuesday, September 15, with a team score of 443. They earned fourth place. “Once again, I thought the boys improved,” stated head coach Mark Keeton. “The scores reflect 20 holes. If you take out the extra two holes or the extra eight that figured into the team score, we played well.”
Logan Meyer led the Dawgs with a 97 (47-50). Jonathan DeBoer fired in a 104 (52-52-). Owen Fischer and Christian Perry each shot a 121. Charlie Peery carded 124 (63-61), and Paul Van Dover rounded out the team with a 144 (63-81).
Aberdeen Roncalli won the meet with a team total of 348. Sioux Valley was second at 387. Redfield took third with a 410. Groton, Sisseton, and Tiospa Zina did not field complete teams. Micah Dohrer of Roncalli was the medal winner with an 81 (42-39). Mason Carrels, also of Roncalli, was the runner-up at 82.
