The Lady Bulldogs succumbed to the Hamlin Chargers during Homecoming week volleyball action on Thursday, September 17. Milbank lost 3-0 with set scores of 19-25, 15-25, and 16-25.
MHS senior Madi Thue was credited with 10 kills on 44-47 hitting. She dropped in two aces on 8-10 serving. She added one set assist and nine digs. Siri Bien followed with five kills on 15-17 hitting, one ace on 6-6 serving, and one dig. Joci McFarland added two kills on 5-8 hitting and one assist on 6-6 setting. Averie Engebretson tacked up 13-13 hitting with one kill, 37-37 setting with 10 assists, 12-12 serving with one ace, and 10 digs.
For the defense, Hallie Schulte made 13 digs. She was 8-9 serving, 2-2 hitting, and had one set assist. Other contributors included: Jessica Van Peursem, five assists on 11-11 setting, one kill on 4-4 hitting, 4-5 serving, and one dig; Casside Seezs, one kill on 10-12 hitting, 5-5 serving, and three digs; Shelby Lee, 2-3 hitting, two digs; Tatum Berry, one kill, one block; Lindsey Mertens, two set assists and 11 digs; and Camryn Wiese, one assist on 3-3 setting.
