The Big Stone City Bookends cancer team held their annual rummage and book sale on Saturday, Sept 26. Shoppers also enjoyed massages and fresh popcorn and lemonade. Luminaries with the names of patients or former cancer patients from the Big Stone City area were displayed in front of the Big Stone City Community Center.
The drawing for the Bookends’ raffle was also held. The first place winners were Chuck and Donna Folkens from Clinton, Minnesota. The couple took home the Vikings corn hole board and bags. The second place winner was Randy Busk of Twin Brooks. He won the Vikings crockpot and other Vikings kitchen utensils. Betty Reinke of Ortonville was the third place winner. She is now relaxing in her new Vikings lawn chair.
