The Milbank Fire Department presented information and activities to students outdoors at the Milbank and St. Lawrence elementary schools and area daycares during 2020 Fire Prevention Week. Kevin Schuelke, Milbank’s fire chief, said, “Fire Prevention week was October 4-10, and the weather was very cooperative. Such beautiful fall days last week.”
“Fire prevention and fire safety awareness for our young people is still of major importance,” Schuelke added. “It’s amazing to witness how young kids take it in and how much they learn.”
