Lori Wennblom

Delores “Lori” Wennblom, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, at her home in Graceville.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, November 6, 2020, at 10:30 a.m. at Mundwiler and Larson Funeral Home Chapel in Graceville, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Interment will be at Graceville Consolidated Cemetery.

While maintaining social distancing guidelines, we are now able to accommodate gatherings of up to 250 people. The use of face masks by attendees is required, and we will continue taking the necessary steps to keep our facility clean.

Mundwiler and Larson Funeral Home announces the death of Delores “Lorie” Wennblom, age 88, who passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, at her home in Graceville.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, November 6, 2020, at 10:30 a.m. at Mundwiler and Larson Funeral Home Chapel in Graceville, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Interment will be at Graceville Consolidated Cemetery at a later date.

Delores Viola (Hein) Wennblom was born on September 23, 1932, in Graceville, MN, to Walter and Angeline (Winters) Hein. She grew up in the Graceville area and graduated from Graceville High School with the Class of 1949. In her younger years, Delores worked at her mother’s café.

On September 8, 1951, Delores was united in marriage with Robert Wennblom at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Graceville. Together, they were blessed with two children: Linda and Guy. The couple made their home west of Clinton, MN, where they farmed. In 1964, Delores and Robert moved to River Falls, WI, where they owned and operated their own trucking company: Wennblom Trucking. In 1995, Robert and Delores retired from the trucking industry and moved to the farm near Clinton until they moved to their home in Graceville. Delores also helped manage the trailer parks in Princeton, Ortonville, Milbank, and Big Stone City.

Delores enjoyed taking care of her dog, Brandy, reading, watching television, and taking care of her kitties. She also found watching and feeding the birds in her yard very relaxing. Most of all, Delores loved visiting with her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren: Tracy Frevert of Graceville, MN; Brian (Shannon) Berg of Amery, WI; Katelyn Wennblom of Hager City, WI; and Kyle Wennblom of Hagar City, WI; great-grandchildren: Jeramy (Emily) Scheuerberg, Dustin Sterling, Chelsea Sterling, Kassidy Sterling, Aaron Sterling, and Brittney Frevert; her one and only great-great-granddaughter, Adalynn Sterling; sister, Anna Marie (Elton) Jones of Chicago, IL; son-in-law, Charlie Chandler; daughter-in-law, Jane Wennblom; and many wonderful nieces, nephews, and friends.

Delores was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wennblom in 2010; her parents; daughter, Linda Chandler; son, Guy Wennblom; and sisters: Theresa Lanie, Marie Nelson, Phillis Campbell, and Angeline Harrington.
