The Lady Bulldogs met the Sisseton Redmen in a rival matchup Tuesday, December 15, at the MHS Armory.  Milbank came away with the loss at 51-31, and their season record slipped to 0-2.

Milbank stuck close to Sisseton to end the first quarter at 11-15. In the second, the Lady Bulldogs were held to just three points while the Lady Redmen poured in 21 points to increase their lead to 36-14 at the midway mark.

Milbank again struggled to produce offense in the third quarter. They added just five points to their total to give Sisseton a 48-19 advantage heading into the final stanza. The Lady Bulldogs then showed the Lady Redmen the flip side and held them to just three points, but there was not enough to time left on the clock to overcome the deficit.

Madi Thue sparked the locals with 10 points, four rebounds, one assist, and one steal. Isabella Anderson followed with five points, two boards, two assists, and one steal. Maurina Street and Tatum Berry each contributed four points. Street had four rebounds, one assist and one steal; Berry added
one board, one assist, and a steal. Tyra Berry chipped in three points, one assist, and one steal. Hope Karels dropped in two free throws for two points and made one steal.

Also adding to the totals for Milbank were: Ellie Neugebauer, one point, one rebound, and two steals; Lindsey Mertens, one point and one blocked shot; and Elsie Seffrood, one point.

The Lady Bulldogs knocked down 23 percent of their shots from the field, making 7-of-30 attempts. They hit 1-of-7 three-pointers and 16-of-26 free throws. Milbank ended the game with 27 rebounds, 11 steals, six assists, and one blocked shot. They were charged with 15 turnovers.

Sisseton hit 22-of-55 from the field for 40 percent shooting. The Redmen left the building with 36 rebounds, 19 assists, 12 steals, and one blocked shot. They committed 12 turnovers.
