Students at St. Lawrence School held a drive to collect items to put in their 2020 Blessing Bags. This year, they chose the theme family togetherness. On December 10, the students filled enough Blessing Bags for 34 families. The bags were brimming with throw blankets, hot chocolate, marshmallows, microwave popcorn, gingerbread house kits, and candy canes.
The students also prayed for the children and their families before they sent the Blessing Bags to the ICAP Office at the Grant County Courthouse. Susie Wendland, student council adviser at St. Lawrence School, said, “My hope is the students learn to love giving back to the community and think of more ideas to make a positive impact in years to come.”
