Bulldog Grapplers Go 3-0 at Sioux Falls Lincoln Tourney

The Bulldogs wrestling team had a successful day at the Floyd Farrand Wrestling Tournament on Tuesday, December 29, at Sioux Falls Lincoln High School. The event is traditionally an individual tournament, but due to Covid-19 concerns, it was converted to a dual tournament. Five pods of teams competed.

Milbank was paired with Spearfish, Dakota Valley, and Sioux Falls Lincoln and defeated all three teams to sweep their pod. “The guys competed hard,” said Milbank’s  head coach, Jeremy Tostenson. “It was great to see them excited for each other and working to win the three duals.”

Milbank defeated Dakota Valley 60-14 to start the day. They battled to a 42-30 victory over Spearfish, and downed the host team, SF Lincoln, 51-26.
Toby Schneck, Logan Meyer, Nick Trevett, and Tate Schlueter were 3-0 to lead the Dawgs. Jacob Johnson, Brayden Christensen, Barrett Schneck, Paul Van Dover, Leyton Raffety, and Landon Novy each secured a 2-1 record.  Jayce Jonason and Joe French were 1-2.
